Arms of Love Derrick orphanage Uganda is a non-Governmental foundation which started in the year 2020 with an aim of fighting poverty for the well being of the children in Mityana Local Villages. It is a community based based foundation which was founded by key individuals with a burning desire of helping anmd supporting the vulnerable children, the single mothers, illiterate and the unemployed youths.
We saw that this could help by providing the unemployed youth with some projects like Poultry rearing, Piggery rearing and others. Arms of Love Derrick orphanage Uganda is targeting children who are mostly affected by poverty which has led them not enjoying their rights to education and living in good homes, clothings and food and that they are physically, emotionally, and spiritually not tortured. We provide some food, soap and sugar to the poor families in the local villages. We struggle by feeding our children through providing them all neccesary daily meals.
We provide free health services to the people in the community. Under the Health and Sanitation program, we aim at addressing challenges associated with poor hygiene practices and poor sanitation practices.This is done through sensitization of caretakers on hygiene and sanitation.
